Founded to help meet the needs of these people as Consumers - Not as "Sufferers" we developed these uniform, easy to read and recognize Trusted Safe Seals that will identify those items which are free of ingredients dangerous to their particular food sensitivity. We have created ten logos to address the nine major food allergies as identified by the FDA, plus Lactose Intolerance since over 50 million people are Lactose Intolerant in the US alone! Trusted Safe Foods was founded to eliminate the confusion and frustration felt by consumers with food allergies and intolerances. Hour upon hour is spent searching food ingredient labels for hidden clues as to if the product is safe to eat. Click on any of the food links above for specific food allergy information. Discovering you have a food allergy can be a scary and confusing time in ones life. We hope to help you through this transition by making it a lot less confusing to identify which prepared foods you can safely eat and get you in and out of the grocery store quickly and stress free. The FDA has guidelines already established that identify products free of particular allergens such as Gluten and Nuts. Even so, most manufacturers have simply put a simple disclaimer sentence on their packaging, so there is no readily visible “seal” to easily identify those items that are allergen free when you’re out shopping. We have developed the “Trusted Free” seal of approval to help identify those items a lot easier than ever before so when you are shopping you can spot them quickly and easily without confusion. All our “Trusted Safe” items meet all US FDA guidelines. In the future we hope to work with Manufacturer’s to help develop new or modify existing products to allow them the right to earn the “Trusted Safe” seal of approval. Our “Trusted Safe” Seal identifies which allergens are safe with each product you see our seal on. You will either see our Pyramid of safety or individual seals for each allergy group. The seal identifies those products which are safe to eat according to the FDA's established guidelines. |
